Watercolour, Acrylic and Gouache on Paper
The Artist - Karen Farrington
Diverse Naive experimental explorations, in acrylic, gouache and watercolour, often outlined, reflect my love of colour, travel, dismantling and creating new perspectives. One sits double -glazed, in a bathroom, between an Alfred Wallis and Christopher Wood. Local events, scenery, charity auctions and exhibitions, including CRUK, CHSW, the ABNA and in Launceston Tourist Information Centre, provide challenges. Some designs decorate kitchen ware and were published in my Naive Art Colouring Book. Commissions include Launceston Town Guide cover 2013, projects for Lawrence House Museum, the Charles Causley Centenary 2017, a beer label design and for individuals in the UK, Europe and Australia.
