The Artist - Paul Harvey
Paul Harvey has sold work all over the world including the Royal family, and has exhibited at Chelsea flower show. His Hampshire studio is set on the edge of a small lake, from where he observes many of the birds he sculpts in their natural habitat. Paul has been sculpting since childhood, birds having been an interest from an early age. Whilst keen to carve in wood he found the delicate features of birds didn't lend themselves to woodcarving, so the design had to be simplified. He has developed a style based on his other great interest in Art Deco, and has found that working in bronze gives an almost unlimited freedom in design.
