The Artist - Jane Leitch
Animals feature in many of Jane's paintings. She is regularly commissioned to paint their portraits. Living on the edge of the atmospheric and inspirational open spaces of the rivers and tors of Dartmoor and the surrounding farmlands means she has a limitless supply of further subjects for figurative landscapes which she depicts in pastels and oils. Exhibitions include The Wildlife Society and on a number of occasions with the Society of Women Artists. Shortlisted for the Pastel Society Open Exhibition in 2015 and 2017 as well as the BBC Great Painting Challenge 2016. Her work has been published in The Field magazine, The Shooting Times and The Sinews of Falconry by Gordon Robinson. Jane holds regular workshops and art classes.
