Delamore Arts warmly welcomes The Association of British Naive Artists (ABNA) who will be exhibiting at the Delamore Gallery at Delamore Park, Cornwood as part of the
10th Anniversary celebrations of Art@Delamore’s annual exhibition held throughout May 2012.
The ABNA will be featured along with sculpture and artworks by over 100 artists in the main house and gardens. Visitors will be able to follow a sculpture trail to the Delamore Gallery to see original works by over forty of the Association’s members whose brilliant colours and playful imagery epitomise naive art. Featured naive artists will include Anne Currie, Brian Pollard, Sandy Wager and Caroline Appleyard.
“Naive Art has become increasingly popular in recent years for its honesty, simplicity and accessibility. It is unusual to get a chance to see so many fine examples in one place, that’s why we’re really excited about the ABNA agreeing to exhibit at Delamore for 2012.” said Gavin Dollard, Director of Delamore Arts.
Daphne Stephenson chairman and Judy Joel director of ABNA are also delighted to have a chance to bring their members together for this one off show. Judy says “We are very happy to have been invited to join in the 10th Anniversary of Art@Delamore. We too have many reasons to celebrate. It is the 10th Anniversary of ABNA, and we have just had our first book published, which will be launched during the exhibition. We look forward to an exciting month at Delamore and to meeting many new friends"
Please see the special online catalouge for the ABNA which showcases many of the works that will feature at Delamore this May.
