The Sheep are Blissfully Unaware

I am interested in the interaction of colours and how they work with each other. A colour mixed on the palette is different when painted amongst other colours on the canvas. Colours can sparkle next to each other, or cast a gloom. I have been working in the style of the pointillists, yet these dots don’t work for everything. I need sharp definition in my work too, which is probably the architect in me wanting to get out. Pointillism also seems to create movement in the picture, sparkling leaves and shimmering grass or forest floor. The best thing is to keep experimenting!
