Cock Pheasant

George Hider is a West County artist working for the last 20 years from his home in South Somerset. He uses his natural talent to create lifelike forms from recycled steel. The raw steel is sourced locally. Every piece of recycled metal is carefully formed and welded into place and each sculpture is unique. Large sculptures are protected with lanolin, a natural product from sheep’s wool, which allows them to weather and take on a natural appearance in their garden surroundings.
