Oak King Green Man

As a sculptor of stone my fascination for carving is multifaceted. I’m drawn to create figurative pieces, my material of choice is Portland stone, I love the opaque whiteness and fine grain. Having recently developed various Green Men carvings, I enjoy the combination of foliage details and portraiture. Adding to my Abstract Landscape series. I try to distil natural elements of form, line and texture to depict the feeling of a place. Being based here in Devon there is much inspiration for stunning land and seascapes. While smaller works In both alabaster and serpentine provide soft, colourful and exciting detail to carve a growing range of sea life animals.
