The Artist - JX Coudrille SWAc
Jonathon trained from childhood with his father, a student of Fleetwood Walker. After schooling, he returned to Cornwall, painted in Saint Ives and studied with John Tunnard. His first solo show was at the inaugural Harrogate Festival. He has exhibited with Peter Lanyon, Karl Weschke, Dod Proctor and the Nicholsons at the Penwith and Newlyn Galleries, with Picasso and, with Joan Miró at the Falmouth Civic Gallery; with the Stuckists at The Walker and, with Sir Peter Blake at the Royal Academy. Coudrille maintained a studio in Highgate until 1989 when, after a sojourn in Russia as a guest of the Moskvarechie Realist Painting School, he again returned to the family home on the Cadgwith cliffs where he has lived and painted ever since. He is an Academician of the South West Academy and an Honorary Artist Member of the Arts Club.
