How to apply for Delamore Arts

Applications by email to admin@delamore.com, are required by the end of September in the year preceding the exhibition.  You should include your contact details (including a postal address), images of 5 pieces of typical work, media, approximate size and sale room price.  (It is fully understood that these might not be the actual work that is to be submitted for the exhibition, but merely to give the Trustees an idea of what you do)

Artists are formally selected during a meeting of the Trustees of Delamore Art which sits in October.  Work is viewed on a large screen in Powerpoint.  To this end you should ensure you provide the best images you can, as poorly photographed, out of focus images may prevent you being selected.  The Trustees can only base their decision on what they see on the day.

As well as technical ability the Trustees are also looking to achieve a balance of styles, content and media in order to avoid duplication, and specifically require work that has not been exhibited previously.  The trustees are also particularly keen to hear from new and upcoming artists.  Sadly we cannot accept everyone and competition is strong.  Space in the gallery for paintings and sculpture is extremely limited, however there is more scope for outside sculpture within the gardens.

Unsuccessful applicants will be informed by email by the end of October.  Successful applicants will be invited to submit work by email.

The exhibition runs every day throughout May.  Artists are required to deliver their work mid April (dates TBC) and unsold work can be collected in the first week of June.
