Mackerel on a Plate

Sarah Smalldon is an award winning artist and illustrator working from her home studio in Peverell, Plymouth. Guided intuitively by her love of bright colour, pattern and bold illustrative lines, Sarah produces unashamedly cheerful art which is sure to brighten up any wall. Sarah takes inspiration simply from the things that make her happy and looks for the joy around her each day, letting the day determine what she paints. She hopes that the unconventional world of colour she lives in will spread smiles and positivity to the viewer. Sarah works predominantly in acrylics and currently loves to paint things on plates! Graduating from the Arts University Plymouth in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Fine Art, Sarah won the Ben Hartley award in the same year.
