Alison paints in oils, although charcoal and inks are often employed in her work. She revels in the physical and instinctive process of working with the paint, using both knife and brush. Her paintings are predominantly an emotional reaction to the landscape and coast. She has worked for various art publications, launched magazines, and continues to promote artists, and source artworks for homes and offices. She is a SWAc Trustee and has worked with the charity since its inauguration. Alison collaborates with leading contemporary artist Simeon Stafford, and has recently compiled a book on his work.
