Bramble Patch

I grew up as a creative on a Devon farm and remember saying as a child that I wanted to be an artist. This has given me a deep connection with the natural world and I am deeply drawn to the energy of the landscape, skies and seas and aspire to capture that in an expressive way. I really developed my work about 25 years ago alongside a local University tutor. This gave me a great opportunity over a 4 year period to explore and experiment widely with texture, paint, mark making, drawing and materials. At that time I had work accepted in SWA Academy. I continue to work with a variety of materials, collage, texture and acrylic paint. Often starting outdoors and then completing in my studio. Recently I’ve been enjoying some strong colour. I had work accepted in the Thelma Hulbert Gallery Open 2023.
