This Way

After a career in graphic design and studying for a degree in Fine Art, Angela discovered the art of mosaic. She has been a professional mosaic artist since 2011 and loves everything about the mosaic process; the sketching and planning, the experimenting with materials and new techniques, the choice of andamento (the flow of the mosaic) and colour, the frustration of nipping the perfect tesserae, and yes, even the grouting! She has an individual approach to mosaic and works mainly in glass and ceramic tiles to produce pieces that are vibrant, inventive and unique. Angela takes her inspiration from the relationship between design and the architectural qualities of the natural world, combining these sculptural forms with mosaic.
