I live and paint in a quiet village on the Norfolk Suffolk border, my tri-pawed rescue whippet, Eileen, a constant companion in my studio. No surprise then, that I love to paint dogs. My work is very much a collection of paintings for dog loving art lovers! Just as important to me, is the environment in which I paint the dogs - aiming to add a little narrative and light-heartedness to each painting. Mostly I enjoy the character and personalities of the canines I paint – celebrating their differences and capturing their quirks. I paint with oil and emulsion on board, allowing texture and detail so sit comfortably alongside flat, bold colour.
