Clare paints with paper, building layered abstractions that echo forest stories and half-remembered paths. Inspired since childhood by books such as The Enchanted Wood, she uses gelli prints and image transfers to create dreamlike woodlands and landscapes. Based in Tring, Hertfordshire, Clare is a secondary school art teacher and practices her art from her home studio. Her work invites viewers into a space where nature feels mysterious, textured, and shaped by memory and imagination.
