Yvette’s artistic journey began in the north of England, inheriting her creative flair from her mother – a passionate painter. After starting a young family, it was years later with children grown up that Yvette reignited her practice, exploring a variety of mediums from mixed media and painting to her true passion – ceramics. Self-taught, Yvette found herself drawn to the tactile nature of clay, hand building beautiful works representing wildlife and the human form to bring the visions in her mind and dreams to life. Yvette’s work is a reflection of her own unique perspective, as she explains: “I get a thought in my head or a dream, and I have to create it, it’s as simple as that” Since then, Yvette has produced work for private clients and exhibited in galleries nationally attracting appearances on tv and radio.
