Patrick Barker trained at the, now defunct, Bath Academy of Art which was set amongst the rolling hills of North Wiltshire. It is here that he started to carve Bath Stone. After a winter at the Cyprus college of Art he started to exhibit in galleries, mainly in Bath and London. Over the years he has exhibited in many galleries in England and abroad and work has been sold all over the world. In 1997 he was elected as a Member of the Royal Society of Sculptors. Recent commissions include a stone bench to be placed at the source of the River Thames, Kemble, Gloucester.
