On leaving school I trained as a draughtswoman and have painted throughout my life in my spare time, mainly with oils and acrylics. My artistic life changed10 years ago when I discovered soft pastels at a workshop in France.  After seeing what they were capable of I couldn't wait to try them out.  I did and it wasn't long before I became addicted! Currently my work is mainly Landscape as Dartmoor and Start Bay(where I live) continually inspire and challenge the artist in me, however, I also enjoy painting Still Life in which the pastels are used to create widely diverse surfaces.
