I work predominantly in metal, I weld, roll, fold, and form metal into sculptural pieces. My current body of work Seers is an observation of the human condition. Now in the full flow of post pandemic life, families and folk have moved out into the world away from the digital environment we lived in during that time. So much of what we had before and didn’t appreciate is more precious now, those conversations in person and staring out into the world in wonderment. The Seers whilst they don’t speak seem to say so much depending how they are viewed or interpreted by the observer. The bright Pop Art colours used make them stand out in the environment so as to beckon the viewer in and then to lift their day no matter the weather.
