Alexandra is a fine artist, having trained at Chelsea School of Art. She has recently moved from West London to Torquay in Devon. She loves the Devon countryside and is inspired by rivers, seas and the diverse wildlife of the county. Her work focuses very much on wildlife and the natural world. Alex feels that bringing the beauty and variety of wildlife to the attention of people is an important aim within her work, as to understand and appreciate the natural world she feels is the first step to protecting it for the future. Alex works as a painter and wildlife illustrator, with her main practice being as a printmaker using linoprint and wood engraving. A recent print ‘Calm Before the Storm’ was chosen for the Royal Academy Summer Show, 2022and features in their 2024 calendar.
