Yvette Green is a mosaic artist based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. After a short career in science education, she discovered mosaic over twenty years ago and found her creative calling. She works primarily with stained glass and glass inclusions, drawing inspiration from the intense colours of the natural world and her enduring fascination with botanical and zoological forms. “The outdoors inspires me, and the natural world makes me feel alive. I take forms from nature and painstakingly translate them into glass mosaics. This is a meditative and grounding process. When light dances across the surface of the work, it takes on an ephemeral quality, and it is this interaction that creates the magic for me.” Yvette creates sculptural glass mosaics for gardens, as well as pieces for interior spaces.
