The Artist - Kirstyn Smith
Kirstyn was born in 1983 in Cornwall a county that is surrounded by rugged coastlines and picturesque fishing villages. Her love of the breath taking beaches, woodland walks and frequent visits to national trust gardens have been an inspiration for much of her original artworks and glass fusion. Kirstyn's love of art and design lead her to study and gain a B.A honours degree in interior design. It was during her studies that she fell in love and was very much inspired by the retro designs of times gone by especially during the 1960s/1970s. This eclectic love of all art and design is echoed throughout her diverse ranges, with her own unique quirky style making each piece easily recognisable. Kirstyn is a self taught glass artist and works from her home studio in the middle of the countryside right in the centre Cornwall. kirstyn supplies many galleries and gift shops throughout Cornwall and Devon and also supplies overseas in America and Canada. Kirstyn has many unique gift collections that can be brought directly from her via her Etsy shop, website or social media’s. She is always creating new and exciting lines especially for her ever-growing Christmas collection. However she absolutely thrives when working on her “one off” larger floral and coastal artwork.
