The Artist - Trevor Mackown
Trevor Mackown has been a woodturner for 30yrs now based in Devon. He is a wood artist creating individual pieces to enhance your home or office adding colour and texture on plain timbers and exploiting colour and grain pattern in highly figured timbers. Acrylic paints and dyes are used, and these are protected with acrylic lacquers, none painted items finished either with Danish Oil or High Gloss Wax over sanding sealer. In 2025 Trevor completed The Worshipful Company of Turners Diploma in Turning and is currently working toward acceptance to the Register of Professional Turners. Trevor is a member of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain and the American Association of Woodturners, North Devon Woodturners and WT360.
