Delamore Art - Every Day in May - 1030 - 1630
The Artist - Stacey Beaumont
Stacey Beaumont sculpts with reclaimed slate and glass, using the daily and seasonal rhythms of light to evoke a connection between a work and its environment. Drawing inspiration from the stunning natural environment surrounding her workshop on the north Cornish coast and her childhood in Africa, works are strongly influenced by nature and the emotional resonance of colour. Sculptures often feature found objects or hand-carved inclusions which, in combination with reclaimed slate, bring together stories of past lives and new beginnings and a feeling that nothing is truly lost or forgotten. Stacey exhibits nationally, has works in collections in the UK and abroad and has been shortlisted for the Wells Art Contemporary and the Ashburner Sculpture Prize
