Delamore Art - Every Day in May - 1030 - 1630

I studied in London prior to teaching in some vibrant art departments in the South and East of the capital. Some of that time, I specialised in textile design and printing. That core interest is still prevalent in my evolving work to date. I strive to convey the essence of what excites me in both natural and man made structures. The interaction of strength and delicacy that is found in the sea and landscape of Devon resonates with me. The vibrating light onto seawater makes a wonderful contrast against the texture of the rocks. These works are assemblages using elements that I have initially painted using a variety of mediums, pure pigments, and textural additives. After the composition of the piece further paint and sealing mediums are applied. This enables me to make work in a considered and innovative manner to achieve the results that I seek.
