I am a self-taught fabricator and kinetic sculptor based in Andover, Hampshire, working from my garden shed at home. My artistic vision draws deeply from my engineering background, blending practical expertise with a creative passion for meticulous design and construction. My primary medium is welded stainless steel, chosen for its exceptional durability and resilience. This material ensures my sculptures withstand the test of time and environmental conditions while retaining their aesthetic appeal, embodying permanence in a transient world. Kinetic art captivates me with its movement and environmental interaction. Though beautiful when stationary, my sculptures truly thrive under the influence of wind and sunlight. Animated by the wind, generating dynamic shadows and reflections of light that transform static forms into living entities engaging with their surroundings.
